Ungoverned shapes - 7 april 2020
The girl with a daisy head
has white petal-hands,
budding capillaries crossing her arms
tuber-shaped nostrils
bloated ivies wrapped around ears and elbows
The daisy flower with a girl’s head
has drowsy eyelids,
a scent of gushing blood,
her hand-shaped leaves are eerie purple year-long
inviting bees and also dreaming, two girls
learned to see and smell, to live with roots
unburied, reinventing body-word
accordion-compassion-flow-the leaf-hand cannot rewrite it all
some forms will be cut
photosynthesis grafted onto hope
